Buyer Closing Checklist

Below are items you should complete before your closing:

  • Purchase and Sale Agreement:
  • Marr Law Firm has legible, fully signed contract.
  • Addendums:
  • Marr Law Firm has all fully signed contract addendums.
  • Schedule:
  • Schedule your closing time with Marr Law Firm as far in advance as possible.
  • Homeowner’s Insurance:
  • Arrange for adequate insurance and provide declaration page to the lender and Marr Law Firm.
  • Lender Requirements:
  • Promptly satisfy all lender requests.
  • Termite Inspection:
  • Arrange termite inspection on property.
  • Buyer Information Sheet:
  • Complete and submit to Marr Law Firm.
  • Attending Closing:
  • If any buyer is not able to attend closing, discuss alternatives with Marr Law Firm.
  • Power of Attorney:
  • If a Power of Attorney is needed for closing, Marr Law Firm will prepare subject to Lender approval.
  • Home Buyers Warranty:

On day of closing, make sure to have the following:

  • Photo Identification. 2 forms of ID:
  • Bring photo identification to closing in the form of drivers license, passport or state issued identification card.
  • Cashier’s Check:
  • Certified funds in the form of a Cashiers Check payable to Marr Law Firm or yourself.
  • Wire Transfer:
  • If you are wiring your closing funds to our escrow account, be sure that the wire is requested at least 48 hours before the closing.
  • Power of Attorney:
  • If you have a pre‐approved Power of Attorney, you must bring the original document to closing.
  • Lender Requirements:
  • Bring any documents required by lender as conditions of closing.
  • Personal Checkbook:
  • Bring your personal checkbook in case the amount needed at closing.
  • Homeowner’s Insurance:
  • Bring declaration page with paid receipt or invoice showing the amount due to be paid at closing.
